Less paperwork.
More teamwork.

The simple, free app for sorting out volunteer shifts.
No spreadsheets. No SMS. No fuss.

(It's completely free for Stavanger non-profits)

Vaktbok responsive design - laptop, tablet, and mobile views

Organising is was hard.

Spreadsheets are boring. Group chats are messy. And paper lists get lost in the rain.

We built Vaktbok because local groups needed a better way to see who is doing what, and when. It's built just for Stavanger non-profits, and it talks like a human, not a robot.

the problems we heard.

Real challenges from local non-profits (whether you run a community cafe, an organic farm, or a team of therapy horses).

Calendar invites and reminders
1

volunteers forget they signed up.

They get calendar invites when they join a shift. Email reminders a few days before. Push notifications as the time gets close. All automatic. No chasing people.

Check-in button with rainbow animation
2

have they arrived? are they okay?

Volunteers tap a big check-in button when they arrive. Organisers get an instant alert (email + push). You know who's there without texting everyone.

Last minute cancellation alert
3

someone cancels last minute.

If a volunteer cancels within 48 hours, you get an instant alert. This gives you time to find a replacement or adjust your plans. No more Saturday morning surprises.

Repeating shift pattern
4

setting up weekly shifts is tedious.

Create a shift that repeats every week. Or set a time period like "May to August 2026". No need to manually enter the same shift 50 times.

Regular tasks and one-off jobs
5

regular tasks get forgotten.

Set up regular checklists (water roses, feed ducks). Add one-off tasks when surprises happen (repair broken fence). Volunteers tick things off as they go.

the little things.

More ways we make organising easier.

Setting volunteer limits
๐ŸŽฏ

set volunteer limits.

Need exactly 5 people? Or just one? Set the limit on each shift and the app stops bookings when it's full. No more "too many helpers" awkwardness.

Works on all devices without installation
๐Ÿ“ฑ

not another-freaking-app.

Works on iOS, Android, and any browser. Doesn't need to be installed from an app store. Won't clog up your phone with another 200MB download.

we keep secrets secret.

Volunteering is social, but personal data is private.

๐Ÿ™ˆ

Privacy First

Regular volunteers can see that a slot is taken (e.g. "3/5 busy"), but they can't see who took it. Only the organisers can see names and contact info.

๐Ÿฐ

Separate Rooms

Every organisation gets its own private digital vault. Your schedule and volunteer list never mixes with the garden club next door.

Strictly Norwegian

We built this in Norway, for Norway. We follow strict GDPR rules and we don't sell data to anyone. Ever.

Fancy giving it a go?

If you run a non-profit in Stavanger (a garden, a shelter, a cafe, or a club), we'd love to set this up for you.

It costs zero kroner. We want to help you build a better community.

We built Vaktbok using the same tools we use in our day jobs. We did this so it stays fast, secure, and maintainable forever.
